EDP, a multinational energy company committed to sustainability, focuses 70% of its investments on renewable energy. As part of its decarbonisation efforts, EDP aims to electrify its entire fleet of 3,500 vehicles by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Challenge <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

EDP faced a significant challenge in managing and standardising the electrification process across its diverse global operations. Gathering information from various stakeholders across different geographies proved difficult, and inconsistent terminology further complicated matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Goal<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

EDP sought a solution that would provide a centralised, standardised view of its fleet electrification efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Solution: Power BI<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

EDP partnered with Devoteam to implement a Power BI-based solution. Together, they held a series of workshops across different countries to accurately assess the impact on the business. This analysis informed the development of key metrics, which could be adjusted accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Power BI?<\/strong> This initiative is part of EDP’s digital transformation strategy, which aims to put data at the level of decision-making processes. Power BI plays a key role in this strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dashboards enable the standardisation, monitoring, and management of all the information that is available about the fleet globally. The system aggregates the data that exists in different geographies and translates it into a common source that is very simple to visualise and easy to interpret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Result <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Power BI has revolutionised the quantity and quality of information at EDP. Now, everyone can access information in the same place and at the same time. This partnership contributes positively to EDP’s 2030 decarbonisation goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
