As the 2022 Edition of the G Cloud University<\/a> wrapped up, we caught up with our two local graduates here at Devoteam Alps: Kevin Dh\u00ebmbi and \u00c1d\u00e1m Zoltan Nagy. How was is for our newest Cloud Engineers to join the ranks of Devoteam G Cloud? What was the program like? And what would you say to future applicants? We asked each of them three quick questions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three questions for… Kevin Dh\u00ebmbi<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

What was your previous experience with Google Cloud Platform before you applied for training?<\/strong>
My experience with Google Cloud was minimal. However, being experienced with other cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, made my transition to Google Cloud smoother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?<\/strong>
Managing my time to prepare for two certifications, which were scheduled for the same date. It was overwhelming. However, thanks to the support of my lecturers and proper studying, I was able to manage my time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did the training help you in onboarding into new projects at Devoteam?<\/strong>
The mock project that I was assigned during the training was the most beneficial learning experience of the course. I had the chance to learn how the Google Cloud environment is structured and I will definitely use this knowledge on future projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\t

What were your first impressions of the training?<\/strong>
It\u2019s demanding and there is a lot to learn, but Devoteam gathered some really experienced and knowledgeable trainers, and with the support of Google, we had access to a huge amount of well-organised learning materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did you enjoy the most about it?<\/strong>
We had an interesting and fun project to work on as part of the training. We had a chance to get some experience with several services on the Google Cloud Platform and, in the end, deliver a solution that can be used by other teams.

What would you say to those considering applying for the next run?<\/strong>
Do it! It\u2019s a great opportunity for both junior and senior engineers to start their journey with cloud technologies or expand their knowledge of new technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\t
