Hi, I\u2019m Mostafa! I’ve been working as a Lead Consultant for one year at Devoteam G Cloud. After finishing my Master’s in Information Technology (IT) at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Germany I worked for a couple of years in the Automotive Industry where I got my first opportunity to work in Cloud. My cloud journey started from there and by harnessing the capabilities and potential of cloud computing I became a cloud enthusiast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My role consists of designing, implementing, and managing solutions on Google Cloud. I\u2019m responsible for architecting scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based solutions that meet the specific requirements of my clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My typical day varies depending on my current projects. However, here is a general overview of what I do during a typical day:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Planning and designing cloud solutions, assessing feasibility, and evaluating options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Providing technical guidance and collaborating with team members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Developing and implementing cloud solutions, writing code, and ensuring best practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Reviewing and refining architectural designs, and documenting guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Prioritizing security and compliance, addressing vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Optimizing performance and managing costs of cloud solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Participating in meetings, providing updates, and engaging in knowledge-sharing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Staying updated with the latest advancements in cloud technology through training and self-study.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n\t

    As the Cloud is vast and the technology is evolving everyday, every cloud engineer or architect has to be hungry for learning new things. We have to be dedicated and has to understand clients’ needs so that we can provide the correct solution. <\/p><\/blockquote>

    Real-life cloud projects: migrating VMs, deploying Oracle workloads, and enhancing security on Google Cloud<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Currently, I\u2019m working on a Datacenter Modernization project where I\u2019m migrating VMs from VMware environment to Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE). As the main application is dependent on Oracle Database, I also deployed Bare Metal Servers on GCP for their Oracle workload. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As my client provides VDI service to their users, I helped my client to deploy Citrix Workload on GCP along with Microsoft Managed AD to authenticate their 1000+ users in different European countries. I also supported them to deploy all GCP security products like Chronicle, Beyond Corp Enterprise (BCE), and Security Command Center (SCC) Premium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    All by myself? Never!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
