Not holistically. Not beyond the \u201cuser.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s not just a design flaw. It\u2019s a strategic failure. Because when technology shapes how people decide, feel, trust, or belong,&nbsp;<strong>understanding those people becomes non-negotiable.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-we-don-t-need-just-engineers-we-need-interpreters-of-humanity\"><strong><strong>We Don\u2019t Need Just Engineers. We Need Interpreters of Humanity.<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI doesn\u2019t live in a vacuum. It lives inside systems:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Inside <strong>minds<\/strong>, emotions, habits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inside <strong>institutions<\/strong>, biases, stress<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inside <strong>cultures<\/strong>, values, contradictions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To navigate that, we need people who can read more than data, and also more than systems architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We need&nbsp;<strong>psychologists<\/strong>&nbsp;who understand trust, attention, and fear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sociologists<\/strong>&nbsp;who know how systems include \u2014 or exclude.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Neurologists<\/strong>&nbsp;who know how humans perceive, overload, and adapt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ethicists<\/strong>&nbsp;who don\u2019t just flag bias, but ask better questions about impact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Designers<\/strong>&nbsp;who don\u2019t just remove friction, but create&nbsp;<strong>meaningful interaction<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are not support roles. These are becoming&nbsp;<strong>core to the architecture<\/strong>&nbsp;of AI that works and lasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We used to call them Renaissance polymaths. <strong>Now, we might just call them the future of AI teams.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-designing-for-consequence-not-just-output\"><strong>Designing for Consequence, Not Just Output<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI is not neutral. It reflects the priorities of those who build it. <strong>What we need is a confrontation with consequence.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What happens when systems make decisions people cannot explain?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What happens when humans adapt themselves to machines, instead of the other way around?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What happens when \u201cuser-friendly\u201d becomes emotionally manipulative?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What happens when interfaces disappear, and all that\u2019s left is trust?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are design decisions. And they begin with the questions we ask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-from-human-centric-to-human-expansion\"><strong>From Human-Centric to Human Expansion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am a great believer in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/devoteam.info\/en-pt\/expert-view\/designed-to-serve-putting-human-purpose-at-the-heart-of-ai\/\">human-centricity<\/a><\/strong>. It\u2019s not something to ignore, instead, it\u2019s something to build on. But if we stop there, we risk designing only for the moment, forgetting, the potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The purpose of AI is not to mimic us.<strong> It\u2019s to expand us.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We must design AI that augments our cognition, our care, our creativity, not just our output.<br>That does not only mean more automation. It also means more awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI should:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Help doctors see what fatigue hides<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give policymakers the foresight they have never had<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extend our senses, our decisions, our care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Augment intelligence, not just automate labour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is not a sci-fi future.<strong> This is what is possible when we design with purpose and depth<\/strong>, not just scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re not just trying to \u201ckeep <a href=\"https:\/\/devoteam.info\/en-pt\/expert-view\/human-in-the-loop-what-how-and-why\/\">humans in the loop.<\/a>\u201d We\u2019re trying to <strong>make the loop more human<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That doesn\u2019t mean designing for convenience. It means <strong>designing for dignity, imagination, contradiction<\/strong>, the full range of what it means to be alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI doesn\u2019t need to be more like us.
