The mishandling of our test and trace infrastructure has led to government scrutiny and low confidence in public health policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#f8485e\"><strong>The solution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Devoteam was engaged by the Department of Health and Social Care to \u201cmodernise their Lateral Flow Test supply chain using MuleSoft\u201d. Moving the process of delivering tests away from a collection of systems, manual integrations and manually maintained spreadsheets and into an automated system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\t<div class=\"align wp-block-acf-snapshot\">\n\n\t\n\t<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How we started<\/h3><div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8d39b2df wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\"><div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"snapshot\"><div class=\"number\"><span>1<\/span><\/div><p>No stated requirements or Architecture. All processes and functions run on manual excel formula and emailed spreadsheets with demand for test doubling weekly.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"snapshot\"><div class=\"number\"><span>2<\/span><\/div><p>Multiple delivery partners in various stages of maturity within the solution delivery and operational organisation<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"snapshot\"><div class=\"number\"><span>3<\/span><\/div><p>Introducing a new technology with no path to Live into the Test Supply Chain (TSC) area. EU Development Resource on a UK Onshore contract.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#f8485e\"><strong>What We Did<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identifying areas of most pain for the client<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building strong relationships with delivery partners and process stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Broadening area of delivery and accepting tactical bridges<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advised on Agile Ways-of-Working across the program to improve visibility, reporting and efficiencies using the implemented tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delivering an MVP integration that made it possible for the allocations team to function at a greater capacity [tactical]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expanding the Mulesoft estate into new areas of the business [strategic]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommending the use of new technologies within the clients\u2019 existing service agreements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/devoteam.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/corona-test-6120448_1920.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6534\" width=\"972\" height=\"585\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#f8485e\"><strong>Outcomes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Landscape of test and trace altered, as is the supply chain and relationship with many end-point warehouses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fully onshore Mulesoft team as part of S Platform.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automated end-to-end processing of test kit requests from order creation to order management and shipping.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excel is only used for edge cases or to alleviate problems with other system components.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demand for tests ramped down dramatically and Devoteam solutions have been deemed robust enough for there to be no managed support \u201ctail\u201d to the contract.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working on the final automation of warehouse integrations, data integrity and conversion of PCR tests into the existing systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Order capacity creation ceiling from 10,000 per week to 10,000 per 30 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\t<div class=\"align wp-block-acf-icons-half-circle\">\n\n\t\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8d39b2df wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\"><div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"snapshot\"><div class=\"picto\"><i class=\"fal fa-ambulance fa-3x\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/div><p>Test and Trace is no longer rooms full of people emailing ad hoc excel sheets to one another.
