How I Kicked off my Summer Internship<\/h2>\n

My first contact with the company was through the student organization of my faculty, VTK. They organized an internship fair where companies had the chance to present themselves. Afterwards, students could have a private chat with the employees. I was immediately attracted by the presentation of Devoteam G Cloud. To me, it was clear that they offered exactly what I was looking for: learn more about machine learning and work together with an enthusiastic team. I\u2019m personally fascinated by the power of computers combined with some abstract mathematics. For this reason, I am very interested in machine learning and cryptography.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

I started my summer internship at the beginning of August. I volunteered to work at Devoteam G Cloud for one month because I was looking for more practical experience.\u00a0 It was exciting to finally apply some of the theories I learned during my bachelor’s as a computer science engineer.<\/p>\n

Rewarding an educational<\/h1>\n

During my internship, I learned a lot about Google Cloud Platform<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

“Google Cloud\u2019s platform is full of handy features to ease the life of a data scientist. It has excellent integrations, world-class security, and an impressive global network.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

With the platform, I had my first glimpse at how big corporations handle large amounts of data using the cloud.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While working with the Vertex AI platform, I came in contact with the advantages of using pipelines to create more complex MLops workflows. This was my first time learning about the combination of machine learning and Devops.<\/p>\n

This practical know-how was just what I was missing during my studies.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

What’s next?<\/h1>\n

The experience from this internship will definitely help with choosing the right masters programme. I look forward to finishing my studies and afterwards work at a dynamic company such as Devoteam G Cloud<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The company has disproven that working might be boring and dull. It focuses on a fun work atmosphere that increases productivity. This is in contrast to some companies that focus only on the latter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I can recommend all my fellow students to also tackle this challenge.\u00a0 Internships offer a fun way to learn a lot.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d like to thank Tristan for his great explanations about some abstract concepts. It was nice working in his team. I would also like to thank all the other employees for the pleasant working atmosphere and the warm welcome.<\/p>\n
