Also large enterprises and very known, <strong>successful companies have been hit by cyber crime, which is costing them huge amounts of money and the trust of clients and users.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 300px;margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px;float: left\" src=\"https:\/\/devoteam.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Uber-Cyber-attack-Data-breach-Loss-scaled-1.jpg\" alt=\"Uber Cyber attack Data breach Loss\" width=\"300\" \/><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent\"> Telecom giant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcworld.com\/article\/3300160\/t-mobile-data-hack-faq.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">T-Mobile<\/a> for example lost 20 million euro because of a data breach. The data breach of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/leemathews\/2018\/09\/26\/uber-pays-148-million-to-settle-2016-data-breach-nightmare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Uber<\/a> affected 57 million people and caused Uber to pay 148 million euro to settle complaints of affected users. In the US, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/09\/07\/business\/equifax-cyberattack.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Equifax\u2019 <\/a>market value dropped by 15% after a large cyber attack on its company data that possibly contained<span style=\"text-indent: -1.5em;background-color: transparent\"> sensitive information about 143 Million American consumers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-indent: -1.5em;background-color: transparent\"><strong>In Europe specifically, with GDPR privacy legislation<\/strong> in force since May 2018, companies who don&#8217;t protect (enough) their organisation and customer data, risk a lot.
