To ensure a shared understanding, for this purpose, sustainability refers to a commitment to operating in a way that minimizes negative environmental and social impacts to ensure long-term viability. 

This commitment is demonstrated through actions like investing in renewable energy sources, adopting sustainable sourcing practices for raw materials, developing environmentally conscious products designed for recyclability or reduced material use, promoting fair labor practices throughout the supply chain, and establishing transparent, ethical business practices, including anti-corruption policies and strong corporate governance.

For the purpose of this survey, AI refers to computer systems engineered to perform tasks that typically require human cognitive abilities. This involves enabling computers to analyse large amounts of data to identify patterns, optimise complex processes for efficiency, understand and respond to natural language, and even make predictions or decisions based on learned information.
