Devoteam had the pleasure of having a special host during the annual Kick-Off event: Alexandra, our first AI Host.
She was designed and developed by our Creative Tech and Digital Champions teams, who worked together with a single objective: to create an AI Host, capable of interacting in real-time with the speakers and the audience.
The initial challenge was to create a persona that could follow all the event moments, so we dived into our company’s history and decided to look back 15 years to remind ourselves of Alexandra, the first woman to join Devoteam Portugal (then BOLD International), who served as an inspiration for the newly created AI Host.
Using an advanced language model (LLM), we were able to create their digital persona, designed the avatar with AI, and synthesised the audio so that the voice was similar to the real Alexandra, guaranteeing a realistic experience and a strong connection with our story.
It was a success, but our ambition goes further and we are now working on a new prototype. As AI technology advances, improving real-time interaction at events is just one example of the huge potential of this project.
We’re very excited about the possibilities that AI can bring to our journey and we can’t wait to see how Alexandra will continue to develop.
