On May 21st, Devoteam and OutSystems joined forces for the “Setor Público: Agilidade, Acessibilidade e IA com OutSystems” event. This gathering, held at the Devoteam auditorium in Lisbon, brought together around 30 leaders from public entities and focused on presenting strategies and real-world cases of modernization in public administration.
The event featured two roundtables moderated by João Guerra (Portugal Country Lead – OutSystems) and Mário Nogueira (Executive Director and Head of OutSystems Offer – Devoteam Portugal). Guest speakers included Elias Monteiro (Head of Administrative Modernization and Organizational Development Division – IPDJ), Eduardo Brás (Coordinator of the Rental Support Office – IHRU), João Mendes (Solutions Manager – IP), Jorge Fernandes (Digital Experience and Accessibility Team – AMA), Catarina Gomes (Public Sector Project Manager – Devoteam Portugal) and Rodrigo Coutinho (Co-Founder and AI Product Manager – OutSystems).
Participants had the opportunity to delve into topics such as modernizing outdated systems, integrating Artificial Intelligence, and creating agile and accessible digital platforms.
The highlight was on the success stories from entities like the Instituto Português do Desporto e Juventude (IPDJ), the Instituto da Habitação e da Reabilitação Urbana (IHRU), the Agência para a Modernização Administrativa (AMA), and the Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP). They shared how they maintained agility in volatile environments using OutSystems technology.
Additionally, a demonstration focused on the AI capabilities of OutSystems’ “Mentor” Platform was presented, illustrating the transformative potential of artificial intelligence for the public sector.
